The Heat of Hydration Apparatus is designed for determining the heat of hydration of cement, expressed in calories per gram. This test is essential for evaluating the thermal characteristics of cement during hydration, particularly in mass concrete structures where excessive heat generation can lead to thermal cracking.
Manufactured in accordance with IS 11262:1985 and ASTM C186, the apparatus consists of a precision calorimeter assembly incorporating a vacuum flask, Beckman thermometer, constant-speed stirrer, and sample introduction funnel. The system ensures accurate and reliable measurement of temperature changes occurring during cement hydration.
