Product Description

The Jolting Apparatus is designed for preparing standard 40 × 40 × 160 mm cement mortar specimens used in the determination of transverse and compressive strength of Portland and pozzolana cement mortars. Manufactured in accordance with IS 1727:1967, IS 4031:1968, ASTM C394, and ASTM C64, the apparatus provides uniform compaction through a controlled jolting mechanism, ensuring reliable and repeatable test results.

The unit consists of a rigid rectangular table connected to a spindle through support arms, with a motor-driven cam mechanism that produces controlled jolts at a rate of 60 revolutions per minute. An automatic stroke counter stops the machine after 60 jolts, ensuring compliance with standard testing procedures. The apparatus is supplied complete with a three-gang mould and hopper assembly and is suitable for operation on 230V, Single Phase AC power supply.
