The J-Ring, Narrow Gap is designed to determine the passing ability, flow spread, and flow time of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) in accordance with EN 12350-12. The J-Ring test evaluates the ability of fresh self-compacting concrete to flow through reinforcement without segregation or blocking, making it an essential quality control test for modern concrete construction.
The J-Ring is manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and features 16 smooth vertical bars of Ø18 mm, ensuring precise and repeatable test results. The apparatus is suitable for laboratory, research, and construction site applications.

Fresh self-compacting concrete is placed inside the slump cone positioned within the J-Ring. After lifting the cone, the concrete flows outward through the spaces between the vertical bars. The test measures the flow spread, flow time, and passing ability, indicating the concrete's capacity to flow through congested reinforcement without blocking or segregation.
