The Dorry Abrasion Testing Machine is engineered to determine the coefficient of hardness of aggregates and natural rocks used in road construction surfaces. The system operates by subjecting rock core specimens to the abrasive action of a standardized quartz sand charge on a horizontally rotating cast-iron grinding disc. Operating under a uniform weight profile, this heavy-duty apparatus includes specimen holders, an adjustable pressure loading mechanism, a sand distribution hopper, and a dedicated motor drive assembly to guarantee a constant rotational rate for highly repeatable quality control benchmarking
