The Shape Index Caliper is a high-precision dimensional measurement tool used to determine the shape index of coarse aggregate fractions by measuring the ratio of length to thickness of individual particles. Built in full structural alignment with BS EN 933-4, this heavy-duty stainless steel caliper features a dual-probe vernier arm configuration that allows rapid manual sorting of aggregate particles. By quickly identifying non-cubical or out-of-tolerance stones, laboratories can ensure the raw gravel mixtures maintain the proper cubical structural matrix required for high-strength concrete and asphalt performance
