Flexure Testing Machine
Product Code: MSI 2056
Product Description:
The Flexural Strength Test Frame is a heavy-duty, high-stability apparatus engineered to determine the flexural strength and modulus of rupture of reinforced or unreinforced concrete beams. Operating in strict accordance with IS: 516, ASTM C78 (Third-Point Loading), and ASTM C293 (Center-Point Loading), this apparatus features a robust structural steel loading frame paired with adjustable twin lower rollers and an upper loading roller assembly. Driven by an ultra-smooth motorized hydraulic power pack to eliminate pressure pulses, the integrated high-precision digital load display or computerized software monitoring matrix captures exact peak fracture points, providing essential tensile performance verification for highway slabs and structural beams.
🎯 Applications
Flexural Strength & Modulus of Rupture Testing of Concrete Beams
Highway, Pavement, and Airport Runway Quality Control Audits
Civil Engineering & Concrete Material Calibration Laboratories
Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Plants & Structural Casting Yards
Advanced Material Research & Development Laboratories
Academic Research & Technical Engineering University Labs

🔬 Working Principle
A cured concrete beam specimen (e.g., 150 x 150 x 700 mm) is positioned horizontally on the lower self-aligning support rollers. The appropriate configuration spacer is inserted depending on the beam thickness. Using the double-action hydraulic pump, the operator jacks the internal piston downward.
The upper loading roller assembly comes into contact with the beam's top face. As pressure rises, the self-aligning rollers distribute the load perfectly across the span. The live force metric is indicated on the fine-graduated 100 kN gauge. When the concrete beam reaches its modulus of rupture limit and cracks, the gauge marker ring logs the peak breaking load, and the internal spring quickly retracts the jack back to its starting baseline position.
💡 Advantages
Prevents false low-strength readings by utilizing self-aligning rollers that adapt to minor surface imperfections.
Speeds up batch turnarounds with a spring-assisted automatic piston return mechanism.
Provides field independence through a rugged, lightweight hand-operated design that requires no external electrical power.
Guarantees regulatory audit readiness with factory calibration directly traceable to National Cement Council standards.
