The Multitech Scientific Instruments MSI 3011 Soil Hydrometer is a high-precision glass instrumentation float designed for the mechanical grain size analysis of soils. This test method is specifically required when more than 10% of the soil material passes through a 75-micron IS/BS sieve. Blown from premium, high-clarity transparent glass, this hydrometer features an integrated density scale that remains perfectly visible even when submerged in dark, opaque soil-slurry suspensions, making it an essential device for civil engineering and foundational quality control laboratories.
