Product Description

The MSI 3065 California Bearing Ratio (CBR) Apparatus – BS Version Mould is designed for preparation of soil specimens for California Bearing Ratio testing in accordance with BS 1377-4. The assembly is manufactured from durable plated steel components and provides accurate, repeatable specimen preparation for laboratory evaluation of subgrade and pavement materials.

The modular design includes a threaded CBR mould body, extension collar, perforated base plate, solid base/top plate, cutting collar, compaction plug, surcharge weights, and other accessories required for specimen preparation.

Components

MSI 3065A – CBR Mould Body
Plated steel mould body, threaded at both ends to accept the base plate and extension collar. Internal diameter is 152 mm, with a height of 127 mm.

MSI 3065B – Extension Collar,  152 mm internal diameter × 50 mm high, designed to extend the mould during specimen preparation.

MSI 3065C – Perforated Base Plate,  Used as the perforated base for the CBR mould assembly.

MSI 3065D – Solid Base / Top Plate,  Solid plate used where required during specimen preparation.

MSI 3065E – Cutting Collar,  Designed to assist in trimming the compacted soil specimen accurately.

MSI 3065F – C-Spanner,  Used to mount and dismount the collar from the mould body. Two C-spanners are required for operation.

MSI 3065G – Compaction Plug,  Supplied with handle; specified size 150 mm × 50 mm high.

MSI 3065H – Annular Surcharge Weight,  Weight: 2 kg.
