The Concrete Flow Table Test Set is designed to measure the workability, flowability, and consistency of highly fluid or self-leveling fresh concrete mixes that lie beyond the range of standard slump tests. Built to meet the requirements of BS EN 12350-5, the apparatus consists of a double-deck wooden table covered with a flat, impact-resistant steel plate that is hinged at one side to allow a standardized 40 mm drop stroke. Supplied complete with a heavy metal flow cone mould and a wooden tamping bar, this test setup provides highly repeatable data regarding the cohesion and consistency of automated industrial concrete placements.

Working Principle

Fresh concrete is placed into the stainless steel flow cone positioned at the center of the flow table. After the cone is carefully lifted, the table is jolted according to the test standard. The concrete spreads uniformly across the table, and the Flow Index is calculated as the average of two perpendicular spread diameters. The test provides an accurate assessment of the workability, consistency, and flow characteristics of high-workability concrete.
