🔬 Working Principle

The penetrometer needle is pressed vertically into the concrete mortar matrix or mix up to the 25 mm graduation mark. As pressure is applied, the internal calibrated spring compresses, pushing a marker ring along the direct-reading scale.

The resistance offered by the concrete mortar is indicated on the scale (ranging from 0-50 kg/cm²). The marker ring retains its peak position after the pressure is released, allowing for error-free logging. When the penetration resistance value reaches exactly 35 kg/cm², the concrete is technically classified as having reached its initial set.
