Motorized Wet Sieve Shaker for Efficient Particle Size Analysis
The MSI 3083 Wet Sieve Shaker is a motor-driven, Yoder-type laboratory sieve shaker designed for performing wet sieve analysis of soils, aggregates, and other materials. The apparatus provides controlled up-and-down movement of the sieves while the sample is washed with water, helping separate fine particles and determine particle size distribution accurately.
The unit consists of a water reservoir and sieve holder capable of accommodating up to seven sieves of 150 mm or 200 mm diameter. A robust ¼ HP motor drives the shaking mechanism through a belt drive, producing continuous vertical movement of the sieve assembly inside the water reservoir.
A dedicated water outlet allows convenient drainage of used water after testing. The compact and durable construction makes the MSI 3083 suitable for soil testing laboratories, aggregate laboratories, construction material testing facilities, and geotechnical laboratories.

The material to be tested is placed on the appropriate sieve stack and subjected to water washing while the sieve assembly is moved vertically by the motor-driven mechanism. Water carries fine particles through the sieve openings while the coarser particles remain on the respective sieves.
After completion of the wet sieving process, the used water can be drained through the outlet provided on the reservoir. The retained material can then be collected, dried and weighed for further particle-size analysis.
The MSI 3083 Wet Sieve Shaker is suitable for:
Wet sieve analysis of soil
Particle size distribution testing
Aggregate testing
Fine particle separation
Geotechnical laboratory testing
Soil mechanics laboratories
Construction material testing
