CONSOLIDATION APPARATUS (SINGLE GANG)
Precision Consolidation Testing for Reliable Soil Settlement Analysis
Precision Consolidation Testing for Reliable Soil Settlement Analysis
The MSI 3049 Consolidation Apparatus (Single Gang) is designed for determining the one-dimensional consolidation characteristics of soil in accordance with IS 2720 (Part XV). The consolidation test is an important soil mechanics test used to study the settlement behavior of soil under applied loading.
The apparatus enables controlled application of vertical loads to a soil specimen while measuring the resulting vertical deformation under saturated or drained conditions. It is suitable for evaluating soil consolidation and settlement characteristics for geotechnical engineering and foundation design studies.
The standard outfit includes a 20 kg/cm² maximum-capacity loading unit, lever-operated loading assembly, fixed-ring consolidometer cell, porous stones, water jacket and reservoir, and a complete set of loading weights.
Conforms to IS 2720 (Part XV).
Single-gang consolidation testing arrangement.
Loading unit with maximum capacity of 20 kg/cm².
