The Metal Cube Mould series features professional-grade casting boxes used to form concrete, mortar, and cement specimens for compressive strength testing [12350-9]. Fabricated strictly in accordance with Indian and British engineering standards, these heavy-duty metal moulds prevent wall flexing and dimensional distortion during intense manual or mechanical vibratory compaction [MSI 2011, 2017].

Every operational face is precision-machined to strict dimensional tolerances. For metric sizing, the interior faces are machined flat to +/-0.2 mm accuracy and finished to within 0.2 mm. For inch-based specifications, faces are machined flat to +/-0.01 inches to within 0.01 inches. All configuration models are supplied completely integrated with a solid, leak-resistant base plate.

🔬 Working Principle

The interior panels of the disassembled metal cube mould are cleaned and lightly coated with a specialized mould-release oil. The walls are bolted or clamped onto the rigid base plate. Fresh concrete or mortar is placed into the mould in standardized layers and fully consolidated using a manual tamping bar or mechanical vibration table [MSI 2017, 2021]. The precision 0.2 mm face flatness ensures uniform energy transfer and prevents water leakage from the corners. After curing for 24 hours, the side clamps are undone for seamless specimen demoulding.
