OIL & WATER CONSTANT PRESSURE SYSTEM
Stable Pressure Control for Long-Duration Triaxial Testing
Stable Pressure Control for Long-Duration Triaxial Testing
The MSI 3061 Dead Weight Type Oil & Water Constant Pressure System is designed to maintain constant cell pressure for extended-duration soil and triaxial tests. It provides a compact alternative to conventional mercury-pot constant pressure systems and eliminates the need for the minimum elevation required by mercury systems.
The system uses a continuously driven oil pump and a calibrated dead-weight arrangement to maintain pressure against a column of oil under constant feedback. Its compact construction makes it particularly suitable for mobile laboratories and applications where reliable long-duration pressure control is required.
A hand pump is provided for convenient priming and for maintaining pressure during temporary power interruptions.
Maintains constant cell pressure for long-duration testing.
Maximum pressure up to 20 kg/cm² (20 bar).
Compact design suitable for mobile laboratories.

Pressure Steps : 0.5 bar (0.5 kg/cm²)
Accuracy : ±0.5%
Pump : Motor-driven Oil Pump

Maximum Pressure : 20 bar (20 kg/cm²)
The system consists of a compact, robust housing containing the oil pump and pressure-control mechanism. During operation, the electric motor continuously drives the oil pump.
The piston carrying the calibrated weights rotates with minimum friction. The dead-weight arrangement acts against the oil column to maintain the selected pressure. A transparent oil/water vessel transfers the controlled pressure to the test cell.
The integrated hand pump allows the operator to prime the system and maintain pressure when the electrical supply is temporarily unavailable.
